Cookie Notice
What cookies and similar technologies this site uses, and how to control them.
This Cookie Notice explains how Joal Henke's Creativity Team uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on creativityteam.org (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy, which has more detail on how we handle personal information generally.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies include local storage (which can hold more data than a cookie) and web beacons or tracking pixels (small, often invisible images used to confirm that a page or email was viewed).
Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Can You Opt Out? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the Site to function, such as remembering that you've opened the navigation menu or an FAQ accordion, and basic security and hosting functions provided by our content delivery network. | No, these are necessary for the Site to work and are not tied to advertising. |
| Functional | Used to personalize your experience, such as detecting your general location to suggest a nearby city on our homepage. | Yes, by blocking cookies or location access in your browser. |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed and for how long, so we can improve it. | Yes, through your browser or device settings, or a privacy-focused browser extension. |
| Advertising | Used by third-party platforms, such as Meta and Google, to measure and deliver relevant advertising if we run ad campaigns, and to build audiences for those campaigns. | Yes, see Section 6 of our Privacy Policy for platform-specific opt-out links. |
Third-Party and Embedded Content Cookies
Some pages on this Site embed content from third parties, most commonly Instagram posts, and load fonts from Google Fonts. These third parties may set their own cookies or collect data when that content loads, governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We choose embed formats designed to minimize third-party tracking where practical.
How to Control Cookies
Most web browsers let you block, delete, or be notified about cookies through the browser's settings menu. You can also use a privacy-focused browser or extension, or the platform- and industry-specific opt-out tools listed in Section 6 of our Privacy Policy. Blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the Site function.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request for the sharing of information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
