Our Commitment

Joal Henke's Creativity Team is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project.

What We've Done

• Structured page content with semantic headings and landmarks so it can be navigated with a screen reader or keyboard alone.
• Provided descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and icons, and hidden purely decorative elements from assistive technology.
• Chosen a color palette designed to maintain sufficient contrast between text and background.
• Made interactive elements, such as the navigation menu and FAQ accordions, operable by keyboard, with visible focus states and correct ARIA attributes.
• Used responsive layouts so pages remain usable when zoomed or viewed on smaller screens.

Known Limitations

Some content on this Site is embedded from third parties, such as Instagram posts, or is sourced from the local MLS/IDX feed. We do not control the accessibility of that third-party content directly, though we choose the least restrictive embed options available and will remove or replace embeds that create serious barriers when we're made aware of them.

Ongoing Efforts

We periodically review the Site against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria and correct issues as we find them. Accessibility improvements are treated as an ongoing part of maintaining the Site, not a project with a fixed end date.
